it's my birthday

...and i'll cry if i want to.
but i don't want to actually. everything so far has been lovely. i just got back from new york where i had a fabulous time shopping. i also went to see daniel radcliffe on broadway in how to succeed in business without really trying. it was lovely and he was a really good performer, though he was a bit shorter than i had expected. a ate a lot of lovely food and plenty of bagels.

my birthday has been pretty uneventful thus far however, but nice. the only problem is that i'm sick (anyone that tells you that new york city is particularly clean is lying to you) and it's raining. again.

please, please, please go away. all of this time inside is driving me nuts. it's been raining for three days straight. i haven't been bike riding in ages. all of this gloomy weather has left me feeling a little drained.

but all of this horrible weather has provided me with the opportunity to laugh a lot at the very least. i'm currently in the middle of a marathon of the office. the parkour episode from season six is one of my favorites.

i'm back from a lovely little vacation at the beach!
the ocean gives me this golden almost ethereal feeling. everything is so bright and beautiful and peaceful all at the same time. the sun is the most lovely part. everything glows. just thought i'd share a little bit of the gold.

so it turns out that the library can be quite useful (you know for things more than just books, of course). i picked up seven albums that i had been searching for ages for.

the library might just be another chill spot to adopt into my weekly ritual.

shark week.

it's here. finally. for the next week i will have at least one tv in my house on discovery at all times so that i have access to sharks 24/7.

this is my life.

guilty as charged.

today i decided to indulge in one of my guilty pleasures -- "reality" tv. the series of choice was dance moms, a show about some world famous dance studio (that even i, a dancer, had never heard of), the owner, the dancers, and their crazy mothers. it is extremely over the top.

but i love it.

it's nice every now and then to find a singer with actual talent.
